How do I Clean up Jasco® Premium Paint & Epoxy Remover if it Dried on Concrete?

Don’t worry—this happens more often than you’d think, and what you do next depends on whether your concrete is sealed or unsealed.

If your concrete is not sealed:
Good news! You can simply reapply Jasco® Paint & Epoxy Remover to the area. Follow the directions on the product label, and the remover should soften and lift the dried residue so it can be cleaned away.

If your concrete is sealed:
This situation is a little different. If Jasco® Paint & Epoxy Remover dries on top of a concrete sealant, it can cause the sealant to turn white. In this case, do not reapply Jasco remover.

You’ll need to:

  1. Purchase a paint or sealant remover specifically made to remove concrete sealants. We suggest Klean Strip Concrete Stripper.
  2. Follow the manufacturer’s label directions to remove the sealant (and the dried Jasco residue)
  3. Reapply a fresh sealant to the concrete once the surface is clean and dry

If you’re unsure whether your concrete is sealed, testing a small, hidden area first can help you decide the best next step.

Jasco® Premium Paint & Epoxy Remover can be used on Marble, limestone, flagstone, blue stone, granite stone, slate, terrazzo, natural stone and travertine stone. Please test in an inconspicuous area first.
